Why MacSprint

Thirteen everyday frustrations.
One app.

Each card opens the feature that fixes it.

Features

Built for the way files
actually get lost.

A name you can’t remember, a download from somewhere, a copy of a copy, a disk that’s somehow full. Each one has a fix, and a shortcut.

Feature Explorer

Every feature. One window.

Pick anything in the sidebar, use ↑ ↓, or press ⌘K to jump to a feature.

vs Finder

MacSprint, or Finder?

Finder is great for opening a folder. Here’s what it leaves to you. MacSprint works alongside it — “Show in Finder” is always one click away.

Planned shortcuts for the first release.

Privacy

Your files stay yours.

MacSprint does its work on your Mac. No account, no cloud processing, no peeking.

On-device by design

Search, text recognition and AI run locally using Apple frameworks. File contents are never uploaded.

No account. Ever.

Download, open, use. There is nothing to sign up for.

Only folders you choose

You pick which folders MacSprint can see. System and app folders stay off-limits by default.

No snooping analytics

No telemetry collects your file names, paths or contents.

Works offline

Every core feature works without an internet connection.

Reset anytime

Clear the local index, clipboard history and action logs from Settings in one click.

AI you can trust

Smart suggestions.
Your final say.

AI never deletes, moves or renames files on its own. Every change goes through a plan you can read and approve.

  1. You ask“Organize my Downloads folder.”
  2. AI interpretsOn-device model reads the intent.
  3. Typed planTurned into a list of concrete actions.
  4. ValidatedPaths, permissions and conflicts checked by code.
  5. You reviewEvery move and its destination, listed.
  6. You approveNothing happens until you click.
  7. ExecutedSafe system APIs. Trash, never erase.
  8. LoggedResults and errors recorded in history.

Grounded results. Search answers come from your real index — the AI never invents files.

Graceful without AI. On Macs without Apple Intelligence, file search, text-in-images search, storage and cleanup keep working.

No shell commands. Model output is never run as a command.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I need Apple Intelligence?

No. AI in Search uses Apple’s on-device models when your Mac supports them. Everything else — the image viewer, storage analysis, cleanup, duplicates, search by name and by text inside images — works on any supported Mac.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Indexing, text recognition and AI all run on your Mac. MacSprint has no cloud processing and needs no account. If a future feature ever needs the internet, it will be clearly labeled and optional.

What can MacSprint see on my Mac?

Only the folders you choose. You can add or remove folders at any time, and Settings shows exactly what MacSprint has access to. If a feature ever needs a macOS permission, MacSprint asks only when you turn that feature on.

Will it delete my files?

Never without your OK. Clean Up always shows a preview, asks for confirmation and moves files to the macOS Trash so you can restore them. Optional automatic rules are off until you turn them on, and they use the Trash too. AI suggestions are only suggestions until you approve.

Does it replace Finder?

No. MacSprint works alongside Finder — a visual library, smarter search and handy shortcuts, without changing how Finder works.

Which Macs are supported?

Apple silicon and Intel Macs. AI in Search requires a Mac with Apple Intelligence; all core features work without it. Exact macOS requirements will be announced before launch.
